Groundhog Day

I could seriously go for a "Groundhog Day" scenario right about now. If I could just repeat this weekend over and over and over again, I would be a happy woman. I'll try to keep my complaining to a minimum, but this happens every time. It's so hard to get back to real life after my boyfriend leaves. It's so nice to have him around and spend time with him, and then BAM, he's gone and I'm left wandering around my apartment all lonely and mopey like. UGH.

This sucks and there's too much snow on the ground and I have no motivation to start any of the work that I have to finish within the next three weeks. Pardon my language, but FUCK.

All right, public commiseration over. Recent exercise (despite not counting calories while Robbie was here): 90 minute hike up Mt. Falcon, 20 minute run around Wash Park, and today I trekked through the snow for a 2 mile run on the treadmill at 5mph. Neat.

Probably not going to weigh in tomorrow since the past five days were a wreck. Meh.

30 Day Shred: L1D9

Well, I took the weekend off from 30DS, but I hiked two mountains while I was there so I think that made up for it. Haha. It was so much fun (see Tumblr for more details) and even though I thought I was going to die while I was hiking, the view from the tops was totally worth it. :)

I'm back into the swing of things though; I did L1D9 this morning and am drinking my strawberry/blueberry/banana smoothie now. I did step on the scale this morning just to see aaaaand...it's looking promising! I'm not looking forward to starting Level 2--the memories from last time still haunt my shoulders/arms. Oh well...

Everyone have a good week!

5K Training: Day 48

I know, I know: It's my day of rest, but I went on a hike today! Thank goodness we went early because it was gorgeous--but now it's dark and raining.

~4.5 miles in 1.5 hours. MFP = 900+ calories while DB says 800+. I can't imagine it's really that many but I'll pretend like it is for now! :)

Can't wait to go hiking more!
